In the Nuclear Fusion systems they are currently developing is it possible to fuse Deuterium with something?
other than Tritium. The cost of extracting Tritium seems to be one of the major hurdles. With the kind of temperatures they are now able to reach maybe they could fuse other elemental particles that might be cheaper.

They can’t even get tritium fusion to work yet, although maybe the new facility will do that.
So the chance of fusing deuterium is nil.
