How much power is behind a nuclear explosion?

I was just looking at storm shelters, which led to underground shelters, which led to underground bunkers. I looked up a lot of information regarding nuclear explosions but I could not find how much force was behind, an “average” size, nuclear explosion. I have fun designing random nick nacs and was designing one that would be good for nuclear fallout but I was wondering what it would take to sustain a direct hit. Thanks for whatever information you can dig up.
