   there is probably not another school in iowa, there are not many schools with nuclear programs, in fact this list does not show any schools in iowa with a nuke program:

   they make a lot of money, probably more than any other type of engineer besides petroleum engineers.

   starting salary with a BS is around $60k

   There is no school in iowa that has it, if you are an iowa resident you may be eligible for in-state tuition at an out of state school for nuclear engineering:

   There is a very high demand for nuclear engineers, at this time far exceeding the supply. This makes for a very competitive market, starting salaries of $50-$90K with senior engineers making well over $100K. There are many grants, scholarships and intern programs being developed by nuclear organizations in an attempt to increase the number of students entering the nuclear field. I have attached some links to lists of colleges which offer nuclear engineering, scholarships and pay estimates. You can start a general engineering degree (like mechanical engineering) and then get into a nuclear graduate program or there is plenty of work for non-nuclear engineers in the nuclear industry.
